What is the Physical Test (PET & PMT)?
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The PET is designed to evaluate the physical fitness and stamina of candidates. The test includes:
- 800 Meters Run for male candidates (Expected time limit: 3 minutes 30 seconds or less)
- 800 Meters Run for female candidates (Expected time limit: 4 minutes 30 seconds or less)
- High Jump (male candidates: 120 cm or 4 feet height)
- Long Jump (male candidates: 3.65 meters or 12 feet distance)
Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
PMT measures the physical dimensions of candidates:
- Height Requirements: Expected 162 cm for male candidates, 150 cm for female candidates
- Chest Measurement: Expected 81 cm for male candidates (with 5 cm expansion)
- Weight: Should be proportionate to height and age
Note: Candidates who fail in either PET or PMT are declared as unsuccessful.
